DIY // Wooden Heart Necklace

I've been really working on trying to clear out some of the super random craft supplies that I've been collecting over the past years that I just haven't gotten around to using. Yesterday I came across these little wooden hearts in my craft box and I totally knew that I wanted to make a necklace out of them. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I think it's just so cute to have a little necklace representing the people you love.

It only needs a few materials, which is always nice and for the most part they should be materials that you too might have left over. This would also make an adorable mothers day gift! :) You could also write peoples names on the necklace too.

M A T E R I A L S: Small sharp scissors, silver chain, silver wire, silver metallic spray paint, pliers and wooden hearts. S T E P   O N E: Start by using your small sharp scissors to drill away a little hole. If you want you can also use a drill to do this as well. S T E P   T W O: Keep doing this to all of your hearts and then make sure to blow out all the left over dust as well. S T E P   T H R E E: Spray paint the hearts in a well ventilated area. Make sure to let dry before spraying the other side. S T E P         F O U R: Cut various lengths of silver chain and use the silver wire to create a small loop and attach all the lengths of chain. Also add a clasp to the end as well. S T E P   F I V E: Get your dried hearts and use the silver wire to create more loops and add them to the necklace. S T E P   S I X: Go out and wear your necklace! Happy Wednesday everyone! :) I'm off to do a bit of watercolour painting, catch up on emails and drink some non-coffee coffee. Hope everyone's day is totally lovely!
